FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process of getting a loan?

You can apply for a loan both online and by phone. The easiest way is to send your application online. If the loan is approved, you can upload documents and sign the agreement using BankID code generator or mobile app. You will receive an email and a text message from us as soon as we receive bank offers.

How much can I borrow?

We offer loan amounts from 5 000 to 800 000 kr. Your credit rating is assessed individually during the application process. If you apply with a co-applicant, it will often increase your chances of getting a preferred loan amount or receiving better financing terms.

What criteria do I have to meet to be able to apply for a loan?

In order to apply for a consumer loan with us, the following conditions must be met:

  • You have no inkasso
  • You are at least 23 years old
  • You have a stable annual income of at least 230 000 NOK
  • You have lived and paid taxes in Norway for the last three years
  • You must undergo a credit assessment

When will I receive an answer regarding my loan application?

Customers usually receive a reply to their loan application within one day. If you apply in the afternoon or evening, you will receive a reply the next morning. If you submit a request during the weekend, you will receive a response on the first working day after the weekend.

When will my loan be paid out?

Most banks send a loan agreement by email and request a signature using BankID. Funds are usually credited to your account within 1-3 business days.

Can I repay the entire loan at any time?

Yes, you can repay all or part of the loan at any time, whenever you want. Repayment of the entire loan does not involve additional costs.

What interest rate can I get on my mortgage loan?

The bank calculates the interest rate based on, among others, the value of the property. That is why each application is different. There may also be grounds for lowering the interest rate if you apply with a co-applicant. This is possible because together you will pose a lower risk to the bank, as the responsibility for the loan repayment will fall on 2 people.

Spesiallån interest rate varies between 3,99% - 6,4%.

What repayment period can I apply for?

We offer a maximum repayment period of 15 years.

Why was my loan application denied?

There can be many reasons why banks refused to grant you a loan.

This usually means that one or more of the following conditions were not met:

  • You have no inkasso
  • You are at least 23 years old
  • You have a stable annual income of at least 230 000 NOK
  • You have lived and paid taxes in Norway for the last three years
  • You must pass a credit assessment

Do you have inkasso or betalingsanmerkninger?

If it turns out that you have inkasso, fortunately you can still remove this debt. If you own property in Norway, you can contact us in order to apply for a spesiallån.

What does credit assessment mean?

Credit assessment or rating is something that banks and financial institutions carry out before sending a loan offer. Credit rating is often measured on the scale of 0 to 100.

  • KREDITTSJEKK
Simply put, it is the verification of your creditworthiness based on your payment history, regardless of whether you have an inkasso or whether you reach the income required by banks.
  • Kredittvurdering
The assessment of creditworthiness is an analysis of the borrower's overall ability to repay the loan.
  • KREDITTOPPLYSNINGSBYRÅER
Credit rating agencies that prepare credit reports have information about you from the three previous years. Each financial institution has the right to request access to this information when you apply for a loan, enter into a payment scheme in a store or sign up for a new mobile subscription. Nine companies in Norway have the Datatilsynet license to operate in the field of credit information. Credit rating agencies collect information about you from Folkeregisteret, Brønnøysundregisteret, debt collection companies or judgments regarding monetary claims.
  • KREDITTSJEKK DEG SELV
Anyone can access their credit rating from credit rating agencies. Some agencies require a disclosure fee, but if you refer to the Personal Data Act (Personopplysningsloven), companies will be required to provide you with a free statement. If you find that the information about you is false, you can request to correct it.
